Spruce Bay Renovation

This project started with the kitchen renovation. We took a small kitchen and broke through the wall to the bedroom next door to over double the size of the kitchen. The cabinets are a warm taupe shaker style cabinets, accented with champagne bronze hardware. The storage in this kitchen is incredible - a place for everything. One challenge was even though the kitchen was large it was a challenge to incorporate an island but we did succeed and with added seating. We chose a wood grain finish on the island again to add another texture. . The LVT flooring is a warm shade of taupe to accent the cabinetry. The finishing touch is the quartz countertop and the multi shade backsplash tile. Mixing lighting in both bronze and matte black ties the appliances and Hardware together.

This dinning room was the perfect opportunity to join this whole project together. We did not buy a dinning set. We chose a table, added the black wooden chairs and then completed the look with an upholstered chair at the heads of the table. The upholstered chairs are repeated at the kitchen island in the stools. We finished the look with the black drum shade light fixture, velvet drapes and a soft patterned rug under foot.

When you are doing a project with neutrals it is important to use textures and different finishes so that nothing falls flat. Leathers, woven fabrics, soft carpets, subtle prints, metals and woods all play a part in the overall feeling.
